One week ago, the two of us were flying across the country headed home from the She Speaks Conference put on by Proverbs 31 Ministries and Lysa TerKeurst. She Speaks is a three-day conference for Christian female writers and speakers we have attended together the last three years.
It’s hard to put into one little blog post all the big things that took place in just three days. Feels like our brains and our hearts are on overload, overflowing with the goodness of our God, which was apparent at every turn. With a wee bit of jet lag thrown in just to keep things real.
For writers and speakers, She Speaks is a Disneyland of sorts. From the main sessions where we were equipped in our calling, to the smaller workshops where we learned to fine-tune and hone our craft, the sense that God was present and working was simply overwhelming. We were joined by women from all over the world (800 women to be exact) who share that same burning passion to get a message of hope out — a message that God is alive and active and working within us and for us and through us.
The staff from Proverbs 31 Ministries once again blew us away with their kindness, relatability, and all-out attention to every last detail. It’s difficult to even put into words what these women mean to us. And if you ask us, we may leak tears of gratefulness because we love them that much.
We come away from this refreshing time of spiritual renewal encouraged in our desire to further develop the ministry of The Masterpiece Mom. And we ask you, as things grow and shift and change, would you please pray for us? This beautiful community means so much to us and we want to serve you well. But most of all, we want to serve our Lord and Savior well. It’s because of Him that we do any of this. For His fame. For His glory.
Thank you for joining us in the journey! We hope the words we say and write somehow benefit you in your life as a Christ-follower and mom. We’re cheering for you and love you like crazy.
