She Speaks 2014 {Masterpiece Weekend}

Masterpiece Weekend

These weekend features are to remind us of all of the INGs of life. The Waiting, the Enjoying, the Trusting. The things that make your heart sit up and take notice, or simply take up room in your head all week. This week, we’re taking you on a trip.

INSPIRING  &  REVITALIZING

Ten days ago, Anne-Renee and I made the trek across the country and landed at our Disneyland, aka: the She Speaks conference for speakers and writers put on by Proverbs 31 Ministries in Charlotte, NC.

We attended for the first time in 2013, and were elated to get the chance to attend again this year. It seriously is our happy place.

Our passion cannot be our words. It must be The Word. — Lysa TerKeurst

We were able to reconnect with dear friends we made last year and make some new ones too. We soaked up amazing messages from Lysa TerKeurst, Christine Caine, Renee Swope, and our friend Emily Freeman as well. (Along with many, many more!)

Watch and see what He does. Don’t do your work and ask God to bless it. Join Him. — Shaunti Feldhahn

Notebooks were filled, hearts beat with the continuation of a dream, and this calling of connecting with women through the spoken and written word was confirmed once again.

If writing or speaking is your thing, you really should pray about attending in 2015. Who knows? Maybe we’ll see you there.

We don’t need any more shooting stars, we need more lighthouses — willing to stay in it for the long run. — Christine Caine

This weekend, we pray you will be inspired and revitalized in that area you feel called to. Or maybe you’ll be that inspiring and revitalizing voice for someone who needs it. How about we make that our weekend prayer?

Father, show us a soul with a need and how to meet it in some small way. You lead, we’ll follow!
