It Matters

The staying up late to talk through those deep and silly thoughts of your children.

The soothing of troubled brows and the wiping of tears.

The reading of Scripture even when you think they’re not paying attention.

The correcting. The listening. The hugging.

The hard work you are doing …

It matters.

That tender conversation you had over lunch; the one with an appetizer of prayer, heartily seasoned with tears.

The blog post you painstakingly labored over, hoping it would reach just one heart.

The meal you so lovingly prepared for that new mama.

The serving. The listening. The hugging.

The woman of God you are striving to be …

It matters.

For when we are functioning out of obedience and fulfilling the call God has put on our hearts, it matters. We may not always see the fruit or the harvest of our labors. We may never know the value, the reach, or the impact.

But trust that it does matter.

And as you seek Christ and seek to reflect Him, what you are doing, the things you are saying, and who you are becoming, IT ALL MATTERS.

To them.

To you.

And best of all,

To Him.
