Some days, the best thing you can do for you and your family is to pray:
Infinite, mighty, loving, and pure —
You who made me a mother are good.
Thank you for my children.
Not only have you entrusted me to teach and train the next generation,
you have used these children to help mold and shape me into more of the person I was fully meant to be.
Help me not push back against change.
Just as our children are learning and growing, I must too.
No matter how awkward and unsettling my world may become, or how painful change can be,
help me fix my eyes on you. The one who holds the world secure.
I’ll admit that the road ahead looks uncertain. And long.
The fear of the unknown often encamps around my heart.
But you hold the future and have already gained the victory.
So I will trust.
Trust in your promises for my family.
Trust in the gracious gift of your Son, Jesus.
Trust in the work you are doing in my heart, because it too is good.
Father, I give you this day.
As I lean into you so I can pour out to them, hold me steady.
Thank you for being my rock and my salvation.
It is in the powerful name of Jesus I pray,
Can you think of someone who would benefit from praying this prayer today? Please share it with them using the different methods below. Thanks!
