My brain has been working overtime to come up with what to write for you this weekend. Normally it’s not this hard. It just comes to me and I eke it out sometime when the kiddos aren’t breathing down my neck. Try to imagine when that might be in your home, and that’s pretty much when writing happens for me. It’s not at all a chore, it’s one of my true loves. But this time it felt like one.
Since I was having a difficult time figuring out what to say, I decided it would be wise to look back over my week and figure out what was going on in my mom-world (lots!). But all that would come to mind is chocolate.
In the last three days alone, four different friends brought me a mishmash of cake, cookies, flavored popcorn, ice cream, and milk chocolate covered macadamia nuts straight from Hawaii. I’m not kidding. Yes, I have good friends. Now you see why I could think of nothing but chocolate. That, and how I ate way too much of it all.
It was a good week for it, because there were some high-highs and there were some low-lows. This week definitely called for chocolate. But the thing is, none of these friends knew of my need. But God absolutely did.
Whatever you’re facing this week? You can be sure He sees your need and has got it in the bag. It might not look like much yet, but it’s going to be good.
Maybe you could nibble on a little chocolate in the meantime.
Before saying goodbye for the weekend, I wanted to make sure you’ve had the chance to listen to the newest episode of The Masterpiece Mom podcast. It’s a fun one where we take you back into 2014 for a bit and recount all our favorite movies, books, songs, foods, and more! Click HERE to listen.
