I simply adore the Thanksgiving season. What better time to put all our focus toward what we’re grateful for than right before winter sets in completely. Or maybe that’s the Alaskan in me. I need to be reminded of all of the blessings in this life before walking into a cold, dark season.
Let’s think of it as a time to warm up the heart and keep the fires of true thanksgiving burning before winter brings it’s full fury. Making sure we’re stoking the fire all winter long.
As we move into Thanksgiving week, I know that in addition to preparing our hearts, some of us are preparing our homes. This weekend, I’m sharing some of my favorites of the season with you — some tried and true heart, belly, and soul warming goods.
Some Thanksgiving Favorites to Make and Do
Crock Pot Pumpkin Spiced Latte – I made this several times last year. Yum. O.
Gooey White Cheddar and Cranberry Dip – you won’t regret it
Shut the Front Door Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Free Printable Kids’ Thanksgiving Table Pack – I couldn’t imagine anything cuter.
Some Thanksgiving Favorites to Soak In and Be
Now we’re going to take a peek over at Ann Voskamp’s farm. Do you know her? She is the voice of gratitude of our generation. Her book One Thousand Gifts is a game-changer. Here are some of my favorites of hers on the topic of gratitude and giving thanks.
** Printable “Everyone gets to decide how happy they want to be…” – frame THIS one.
** The Thanks Giving Tree – we’ve enjoyed assembling this tree in the past, along with the printable leaves.
** Goodness, I love this. 15 Ways to Happier, Grateful Kids
Happy weekend, friends. I’m praying for us as we build the fire of gratitude and continue to stoke it to insure it’s burning bright all winter long.
